Amandus Nyembwe is a licensed psychologist based in Kananga, Democratic Republic of Congo, with a degree in school psychology from the University of Kisangani. Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), he has extensive expertise in working with children, survivors of sexual violence, displaced populations, and individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). His clinical skills include group therapy, critical incident stress management, and DSM-4 diagnostic assessment. Amandus provides consultations through APAM (Accompagnement Psychologique et Assistance Multisectorielle) and is available for interventions across the country. He is multilingual, offering services in French, Lingala, Tshilubu, Swahili, and Kikongo. With significant consultancy experience with major humanitarian organizations including ICRC, Handicap International, and MSF (both OCB and OCBA sections), he works within professional networks such as APAM and REFEP. In addition to his clinical practice, Amandus is experienced in providing remote psychological support and benefits from both individual and group supervision.
