Joel-Christopher Bolombo is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in psychosocial support in humanitarian contexts. With a Master's in Psychotrauma and a Bachelor's in Clinical Psychology, he brings extensive expertise in emergency mental health response and gender-based violence interventions. His professional focus includes psychosocial support for survivors of gender-based violence, emergency psychological care for populations affected by epidemics, conflict, and displacement, and psychosocial support for people living with HIV/AIDS. Joel-Christopher has collaborated with leading humanitarian organizations including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), UNFPA, ACTED, CORDAID, and MAGNA across the Democratic Republic of Congo. His therapeutic approach integrates brief psychotherapy, debriefing, defusing techniques, and supportive psychotherapy.
